Joyce Harbor

When a mother dies, we lose a piece of who we are. We lose the person whose story provides the beginning of our own. On March 3, 2020, we lost our beloved mother and grandmother, Joyce Marie
Harbor, at the age of 88. Joyce passed away peacefully at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current. She leaves children Corinne Kane (Rick), Jim Harbor (Jodie), and Tana Audette (Scott); grandchildren Wendy Lockman, Brock Harbor, Ashley Audette, Lane Harbor and Cory Audette; great grandchild Arika Lockman, and sister-in-law Mildred Harbor to mourn this sudden loss. She is predeceased by her husband Donald Harbor, parents Homer and Claudia Clement, and brother Clayton Clement. Joyce was born January 1, 1932 in Bracken, SK. She married Donald on November 5, 1951 in Masefield, SK and the
two built their farm and ranch together over the past 60 years. Joyce loved music and played piano in the "Blue Notes" band. She was a wonderful cook and was best known for her fried chicken and apple
pie. She was an active volunteer in Val Marie, always willing to lend a hand. She loved curling, and still to her final days never missed a game on tv. She loved animals, especially her cat Simon who will miss her dearly. The funeral service was held March 9th at the Church of Nativity in Val Marie, SK with Rev. Joseph Strohhofer officiating.
