Marie (Link) Mouland

Mouland, Marie (Link) of Pambrun, passed away on Oct 2, 2018 at Ponteix, Sk. The funeral service was held at 2:00, Oct 10, at St Joseph's Church, Vanguard. The Interment service was at the Pambrun Cemetery. The pallbearers were sons, Larry Mouland and Bruce Mouland, and grandchildren Les Chelle, RJ Allen, Zachary Mouland, and Kelsey Mouland. Link was predeceased by her husband, Allen Mouland, and daughter Lana Mouland, she is survived by son Larry (Toby) Mouland and their daughters Anna and Giulia, daughter Marcie Allen and her sons Les (Jesyka), RJ (Teneille) and Michael, and son Bruce Mouland (Susan) and their children Sydney, Kelsey and Zachary. To her delight, there were 2 great-grandchildren Schylar Allen and Adler Mouland. Link was born in Summerside PEI, and although she moved to the prairies at a young age, she remained a proud maritimer. She took her nursing at 17, then worked in several hospitals before settling in Pambrun and working at the Vanguard Union Hospital, where she remained employed until 1979. She volunteered for many years teaching Red Cross first Aid and teaching the home nursing program, both of which she took great pride in. Sharing her knowledge was a gift she gave to many!! Mom loved her profession. She was an avid gardener, growing many unusual plants, shrubs and trees. She passed her green thumb on to her children, and some of her grandchildren now are active gardeners. She loved history, especially old English history. She could tell you stories of the Tudors as if they were family friends she had known forever! She loved her books, one or two were always on the go, and she instilled a love of books to her children. Mom was a smart, feisty lady who lived her life fully, looking after others and passionately pursuing her hobbies, always having time for a chat. She passed with the quiet dignity she lived her life with. The family would like to thank all the staff at St Joseph's Foyer, Ponteix, for the excellent care she received during her last few years.
