Marie Lacoursiere

Lacoursiere: Marie Marguerite Lacoursiere, age 89, of Swift Current and formerly of Ponteix, Sk, passed away October 9, 2019 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. The Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 2:00 pm., from Notre Dame d'Auvergne Roman Catholic Church With Father Guy Amedee Ainemon officiating. The Organist was Claudette Begin. The Cross Bearer was Mark Begin. The Pallbearers were Ronald Martin, Laurent Martin, Louis Martin, Gary Whan, Neil Therrien and Larry Piche. Honorary Pallbearers were all who shared in her life. Marg is survived by her children; Terry (Tom) Wilson, Irene Lacoursiere, Denis (Rosanne) Lacoursiere, grandchildren Dory, Shelley, Jamie, Ashley and Josh; great grandchildren Wyatt Anthony, Leshia, Gabby and Kendall Bree Rhynn; her sisters Paula Whan and Lucille Hyman. She was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Elizabeth Martin, her husband Louis Lacoursiere, brothers and sisters Rita, Marcel, Ray, Leon, Terry, Fern and Rounel and great grand baby James. Marg was born on June 3, 1930 in Bracken, Sk. She attended school at Masefield and married Louis Lacoursiere on April 15, 1950 in Vulcan, Ab. Marg was a homemaker, taking care of her family. She was a member of the Ponteix Royal Canadian Legion and enjoyed fishing, catering, decorating and dancing. She was always there for everyone. Loved to help and always had an extra plate at the table. She celebrated all festivities with great joy and decorating and there was no one who loved the sparkles and bling more than she did. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends. In her memory, memorial donation may be made to the Foyer St. Joseph Nursing Home in Ponteix.
