Etiennette Binette

Binette, Etiennette Rita age 92 of Ponteix, Saskatchewan, passed away on May 25, 2022.  The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on May 31, 2022, from Notre Dame D'Auvergne with Father Jules Adator officiating.  Etiennette is survived by her sons: Guy (Doris), Michel (Sylvie); grandchildren: Kristina, Michelle (Richard), Jay (Megan); great grandchildren: Luke, Jack, Alynne, Claire, Rebecca.  She was predeceased by her father and mother Edgar Bedard and AdelinaOuellette; and her husband Paul Binette.  Etiennette was born in Ponteix, Saskatchewan on December 11, 1929.  She attended school at Royer School, Lafleche Convent, Moose Jaw Normal School, and the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina.  She married Paul Binette on July 8, 1953 in Ponteix, Saskatchewan.  She was employed with Notekeu School (October 1948 - June 1949), and Ponteix Public School (September 1949 - 1989).  Etiennette was a member of the Ladies of the Parish CWL, Ponteix Hospital Auxiliary, Ponteix Curling Club, Shaunavon Educational Local Association, and the Canadian Legion.  She also enjoyed golfing, curling, and needlepoint.  Memorial donations in Entiennette's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 1738 Quebec Ave., Unit 26, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7K 1V9.  Lemieux's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
